It might be a little quiet on this blog, but I’ve got guest posts on two other sites.
First, MilitarySaves. In answer to the question of what I want to be when I grow up, I just completed the requirements to be an Accredited Financial Counselor. I am not actually employed in this capacity yet but I’ll freely give my two cents (no pun intended) on personal finance to anyone who asks.
Next SewMamaSew has published a tutorial that I wrote – instructions for making a whole cloth quilt. I’ve made so many of these I can practically sew with my eyes shut, but writing this was a bit of a challenge! I wanted to be clear enough that a beginner would have no problems while keeping the post to a reasonable length. Technical writing is not my forte!
Check these out, then set up your retirement fund and make a quilt.
Wow, guest blogging means you’re famous! Well done! (and the quilt is adorable)
Hello Gretchen!
I’ve just discovered your blog, I too am a military wife living here in Germany. I think our children attend the same school! (the ukeleles gave it away) I love to sew, quilt, and travel in my spare time. BTW I love your tutorial! Thanks for sharing!
Hmm…are you at GK? We’ll have to find each other! Maybe I’ll run into you buying fabric at Sittard!
Hi Gretchen! For sure, have you gone to any of the big travelling fabric markets in the NL or DE? They are coming up again in the spring. BTW my daughter Giorgia is in Andrew’s class. take care! Sara
I hopped over from Sew Mama Sew! Thanks for a great tutorial. Love your blog, too. I’m adding it to my reader.
Thanks, Cheryl!
